The two part Contractor skeleton Hinge Jig is a portable fully adjustable block template set designed for recessing hinges in wooden doors & frames using a plunge router.

The hinge jig is easy to use with minimal set-up time, completing the job on-site both accurately & quickly.

Used on-site & in joinery workshops to increase productivity with excellent results.

Can be used on either the inside or outside of doors, rebated frames and on maximum 25mm thick fixed stops.

This 2 part jig is ideal for fitting a new door in an old frame.

No need for marking out in the conventional way.

Clean & accurate recesses are achieved every time. Suitable for timber based doors & square butt hinges.

Use with a light duty plunge router with 1/4 inch collet.

Long reach router cutter / router bit required, 12mm diameter with 70mm overall length.

Contractor jig with interchangeable templates for use with a plunge router to cut the mortise & face-plate recess for popular door locks.

For most common sash mortises & dead locks, with up to 3 inch deep mortises & a 7/8 inch or 1 inch face-plate.

Deeper mortises can be achieved with a suitable size of auger bit.

Fast, clean & accurate results on doors 34mm to 58mm thick, even in hardwood.

Steel plates & body.

An auger bit and drill is required to complete deep mortises.

The jig requires a 1/2- inch plunge router with a 80mm plunge, fitted with a 30mm guide bush with 6mm spigot & 12mm diameter long reach cutter. A 1/4-inch plunge router can be used for the face plate but will not achieve full depth of mortise.
